How can we improve Britain?

There's so much we need to sort out, but the frightening thing I saw on Question Time last night was the audience's refusal to take statistical findings and real science at all seriously. They seemed to prefer their own feelings and liberal agenda over the success of raising happy, loved children. I noticed how a lady on the panel spoke about the need to support the building block of stable society - marriage (a publically declared union) - and her factual argument wasn't touched by anyone. Instead, phrases such as 'I think it's very dangerous to start supporting one way of life over another...' were used by pretty much all.

My answer to improving Britain would be to start listening to those working with families, kids etc. and find out what really does work, and then support that. Cut the red tape and the BS. Cut having what we want over what works best for society and us as individuals and see where 'do whatever you want, all is equal' has really got us.
